Research
We use polymer synthesis as a tool to prepare macromolecules with precision in their structure and composition. Our research aims at producing materials with responsive (macroscopic) properties and to take advantage of supramolecular specific and non-specific interactions to obtain higher order structures.
Tuning Morphologies Based on Polymer Sequence
We employ metathesis polymerizations to prepare copolymers with controlled monomer sequences. When these polymers self-assemble, the resulting structures are correlated to the macromolecular composition. Ultimately, we aim to be able to tune the obtained moprhology by expanding the rules of self-assembly.
Our work is in line with the activities of the SFB1176.
